"Stay Soft" Caramel Popcorn

1/2 C. butter
1 C. Karo Syrup
2 C. brown sugar
1 C. sweetened condensed milk
1 t. vanilla
20-25 C. popped popcorn
Sift popcorn in a very large bowl and get all the un-popped kernels out.
Melt all ingredients in a heavy pan. Cook on medium heat until bubbly and well blended...make sure to STIR CONSTANTLY!!
Remove from heat, and pour all over popcorn. Then stir and stir and stir until all the popcorn is dripping in caramel goodness. Spread it on a big piece of parchment paper to cool.
